This is a screen shot off Google Maps where I labeled the location of Coral Gardens (red dot), a popular dive/snorkeling site. Numerous web pages recommend you charter a boat as the swim to the location is no easy task. br/Indeed, when swimming from the location labeled by the blue spot, the swim is ~2000 ft (600 m) long one way. One could enter from a closer location but the beach there consists of large rocks, and I was worried that the waves would send me crashing into them. While swimming to Coral Gardens I crossed a couple of smaller reefs that required some navigating. The fact that a dive boat had just anchored at the location made finding the spot substantially easier.br/br/The way back was a bit trickier as the waves were (or seemed) bigger. This resulted in more sand being picked up from the ocean floor (=poorer visibility) thus making navigating those other coral reefs harder.
